Greenhouse films properties

 

 

LIGHT TRANSMISSION AND DISPERSION

przepuszczalnosc1   Transmission is a parameter that defines total amount of light that passes through the film.
The proper dispersion results in sunlight reaching from different directions and making the plant more evenly lit. This results in smaller light intensity on top leaves, while leaves that are in shade are getting more energy.

ANTI-CONDENSING EFFECT

Drops of condensed vapour, that are hanging on greenhouse film, reduce the amount of light that is reaching to cultivation; dropping down they increase plants susceptibility to fungal infections.
Anti-condensing effect changes the character of water vapour in a tunnel: condensed water does not stick to the film in a form of drops but makes a thin layer flowing in the direction of facility's sides. 
Anti-condensing effect works when roof's slope is at least 15° (30° is an optimum)

ANTI-FOG EFFECT

Considerably reduces an issue that can be sometimes observed in places covered with anti-condensing film: formation of a fog, especially in the morning and the evening.
It provides additional light for plants and significantly improves growing conditions.

THERMAL EFFECT

EVA additive reduces heat losses caused by a radiation. It causes infrared radiation to be reflected back to the facility.
Advantages of the film with thermal effect can be observed especially in the morning. It is expected that the temperature difference observed can reach 1-3°C.

ADDITIONAL MECHANICAL REINFORCEMENT

Thanks to special additive, we can offer our clients films, which are thinner and at the same time have incomparably higher mechanical resistance comparing to standard films.
Covering with reinforced mechanical resistance are especially recommended for facilities which are located in areas exposed to strong winds and in case of lower quality constructions.

UV STABILIZATION

UV stabilization (defined with a number of seasons) indicates a time, after which a film should be replaced. 
This parameter is calculated based on mean UV radiation load for a given climate zone.
6 months are considered one season in Poland. 
It is worth to comply with recommended replacement time since mechanical and light properties of films deteriorate over time.

UV-OPEN FILMS

Films that let UV radiation through. They allow enhancing quality of some cultivation by improving the colour and quality of fruits. 
They allow achieving significantly better cultivation results, but we recommend consulting use of these films before application.

PHOTO-SELECTVE FILMS

Photo-selective films block a part of solar spectrum (most often in wide UV range) influencing pests' population or reducing vulnerability to some diseases.
They allow achieving significantly better cultivation results, but we recommend consulting use of these films before application.

IMPROVED CHEMICAL RESISTANCE FILMS

Films designed for areas with higher chemicals exposure, with higher resistance especially to sulphur (for rose producers) and chlorine.

UHD FILMS

Unique fusion of parameters that meets requirements of soft fruits.
Films are characterized by: large dispersion and at the same time high total light transmission, unique mechanical reinforcement thanks to use of metallocene and EVA (films designed for mounting with use of ropes). UHD films can be most often found in UV-OPEN version.
